There's a plugin for literally anything you could ever want, but most people want a few bucks a month just to use it. Rather than a carefully crafted site that is tailored to your specific business needs and vision, what you end up with is a bunch of third party plugins that were never meant to work with one another duct-taped together.

And don't even get me started on the fucking security vulnerabilities. Just last year there were over 8000 security vulnerabilites discovered, most of which came from plugins and THEMES. Can you imagine getting your website hacked because you chose the wrong "off the shelf" theme for your site? What are we even doing?
